Our Own Canadian Multicultural Celebration
In addition to our attempt at breaking a Guinness World Record for “Most Nationalities in a Drum Circle (single venue)”, we want to make this event about celebrating the multicultural diversity within our communities.
After the Guinness World Record attempt taking place in Vancouver, drummers will be joined by the rest of Canada for simultaneous, multicultural drumming. The whole process will be broadcasted live across eight cities and on social media platforms around the world.
July 1st will be a historic moment with the power to bring people and communities together as we celebrate our heritage, values, and our sense of pride and attachment to Canada. Our event will feature a variety of ethnic drumming groups showcasing their talent, sharing their unique cultures, and drumming together as Canadians.
Join many of Canada’s ethnic cultures, including First Nations, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Colombian, Iranian, Irish, Canadian and African drumming groups to celebrate Canada’s diversity through the unity that drumming will bring on July 1st!
Come and enjoy the festivities at the Main Stage! This year our Vancouver celebration takes place at Creekside Park on July 1st from 10 AM to 4 PM! Follow us on social media to get the most up-to-date information.
