Canada Day Drumming Virtual Celebration – Event & Zoom Meeting Guidelines 

Thank you again for joining our virtual celebration. Our event will take place on Canada Day via Zoom Meeting. Please refer to the guideline below and download the App prior to the last week of June. 

Rehearsal:

June 26, 2021 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (PDT)

June 27, 2021 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (PDT)

Canada Day – Event Timeline

A participation link and password will be shared with you via email.

9:30 AM (PDT)

Meeting rooms open for log-in.
Please log in to the room by 9:50 AM (PDT) at the latest.

10:00 AM (PDT)

Event begins
*Switch Apps in between the event to interact with us and enjoy the program.

  • Join us on Zoom to interact with us
  • Watch the program on your browser (Link to be provided closer to the day of the event)

10:05 AM (PDT)

Meeting rooms locked. No one is allowed to enter the room.

10:30 AM (PDT)

Final rehearsal for the national simultaneous drumming. We highly recommend all participants to join.

11:00 AM (PDT)

National simultaneous drumming begins.

 

 

Important Notes

To ensure all can enjoy the celebration and for security purposes, please make sure you have read the following notes carefully before moving on to the next section.

  • The participation link and password will only be shared via email on  July 1. For security purposes, please DO NOT share this information with others or on any social media platform. 
  • The entire event will be recorded online. By registering to participate in the event, you grant permission to Legacy 150 Celebrations Society to use photographs and/or video of you taken on July 1, 2020 at the Canada Day Drumming Virtual Celebration in publications, news releases, online, and in other communications related to the mission of Legacy 150 Celebrations Society. 
  • When registering for Zoom account, please fill in with your full name, email and phone number.
  • When logging in to Zoom meetings, we encourage you to use your real full name.
  • Dress code: Casual, Canadian colour preferred.

How to switch apps in between the event

How-to Guide for Laptop User

Step 1: Download the Zoom App to your laptop.

 

  • Follow the software installation steps to install it on your laptop.

Step 3: Click the “Join” button then enter the meeting ID OR click the link under Join Zoom Meeting in your email to join the meeting. The link, meeting ID and password, which will be shared with you via email on July 1, 2020 at 9:00 AM (PDT).

For security purposes, please DO NOT share this log-in information with others or on social media.

Step 2: Launch the application. Create a new account by click on “Sign Up Free”. If you already have an account, please sign in directly.

Step 4: When logging in to Zoom meetings, we encourage you to use your real full name.

How-to Guide for Mobile User

Step 1: Download the Zoom App to your mobile phone from Apple Store or Google Play. Search for “Zoom Cloud Meetings”

 

Step 3: Click the “Join” button then enter the meeting ID OR click the link under Join Zoom Meeting in your email to join the meeting. The link, meeting ID and password, which will be shared with you via email on July 1, 2020 at 9:00 AM (PDT).
