Organized by Legacy 150 Celebrations Society, a Vancouver-based non-profit organization registered both federally and provincially, the annual Canada Day Drumming Celebration (CDDC) strives to deepen intercultural understanding, promote patriotism, and enhance civic engagement through one of the world’s most ancient and widely-adopted art forms – percussive arts.

CDDC is trying to challenge the perception that immigrants have little to offer to the society and confront the growing trend of people retreating from community life, as we believe enhancing community engagement can help us build stronger social ties and in the long run benefit us all.
